The perfect Tuscan adventure!
Villa Cafaggiolo was absolutely amazing! Our family, which included our two adult sons, enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and wonderful amenities of the villa, the personalized service and advice from this warm Italian family.
Our arrival on a Saturday evening found the apartment supplied with fresh vegetables, fruit, olive oil, prosciutto, cheeses and table wine from local farms. This was the perfect introduction to Tuscan living.
We took several tours by the owner’s son Niccolo who personalized the trips to our interests, expertly guided us through the Tuscan countryside, villages and historic fortresses. Each daylong tour included a wealth of knowledge of the history and customs of the areas we visited. We enjoyed learning about and visiting several small wineries. We spent a day visiting medieval castles and another tour highlighted Renaissance fortresses. The personal anecdotes of historical and modern Tuscany Niccolo provided made each tour extremely enjoyable and educational.
The owners arranged to have a chef come to our apartment to prepare an authentic Italian feast. Each course of the seven was spectacular.
The apartment, with its private garden, was the perfect spot to relax after days filled with the history of a very spectacular region of Italy. Not only are we recommending this to all our friends, we’re planning our next trip back to the Villa.

Beautiful Villa, Fabulous location, Great place to relax and unwind, close to Florence, warm and friendly people.
We are a group of 4 friends who managed to escape for 1 week to celebrate a special birthday. This was our first visit to Tuscany where we found the villa to be just what we were looking for....Peaceful, Picturesque, Practical.....practically perfect in every way.
We arrived late in the evening, but having already requested a welcome pack, we quickly settled in and enjoyed our Pizza (first of many).
We all enjoyed our week feeling safe and at home in the kind hands of Pauola and her family. Would recommend hiring the local chef to come and cook a typical Tuscan meal for you in the villa. We had 6 fabulous courses with wine, all of which tasted fantastic, and we even had enough left over for a meal the following night. We visited 2 shopping outlet malls, and still manged to do plenty of sight seeing.
Would definately love to visit again.

A perfect vacation destination.
We had a wonderful time there. A truly beautiful house and an amazing settling with astounding views surrounded by picturesque vineyards. Villa furnished in a romantic style of Tuscany. The Pucci family (owners) is very nice and very caring for the visitors. In spite of being almost "invisible" in case of need they would appear in an instant to offer help. We will most certainly stay at this charming place again.

A Summer to Remember!
Prior to arriving at this spectacular Villa, we had seen pictures, observed the website and heard from others that had stayed there. I must admit that when we arrived, we knew that this was going to be a special week. The property is spectacular and all the rooms in the villa are charming, comfortable and very inspiring. We had wonderful dinners outside and the pool was a wonderful place to relax, enjoy a cold beverage or a nice Chianti from this spectacular region. The villa is in a great location with exceptional views of the mountains and olive/grape vineyards. It was sad to leave. The Pucci family was wonderful to be around. They were extremely helpful and a delight to just talk to! This Villa exceeded my expectations. Try it. You will not be disappointed! Ciao!

A piece of heaven in Tuscany
Our family of 5 with three kids ages 16, 15, and 11 stayed at the Villa Cafaggiolo for two and a half weeks in June 2009. We had rented the Giotto apartment, which is in the back of the building overlooking the Tuscan countryside and hills. When we first pulled up to the gate, Niccolo was there to meet us and he was so welcoming he made us smile. He showed us around the grounds, which are extremely beautiful and well cared for and around the apartment which was spacious and nicely decorated. The apartment we stayed in has 3 bedrooms, two that have a king bed and twin bed, and one that has a twin daybed and balcony. The bedrooms had screens over the windows, and as there is no air conditioning, it did get warm two of the nights, but if you make sure you close the shutters during the day, that will help immensely. We were blessed with great weather, so the heat wasn't a problem overall. There are two bathrooms, which were sufficient and a small kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, and toaster. In the kitchen there are plenty of pots and pans and utensils, dishes, etc. for cooking and eating on. Our favorite part of the villa was the outside porch and that is where we spent most of our time, eating or blogging on the internet. Although the internet connection is a litle spotty, we were able to connect most of the time, and it was fine for us. The apartment also has a washing machine, which we used a couple of times, and a drying rack to dry the clothes. However, if we had big laundry to do, we went to Pontassieve which was easy and much faster.
We found this to be an ideal place to stay as we travelled around Tuscany for day trips. Travelling to Florence was super easy and stress free by taking the train from Pontassieve. From this location we were able to day trip it to Lucca, Pisa,Siena, Fiesole,
San Gimignano, Volterra, Monteriggione, Arezzo and Viareggio. There is also a wonderful national forest to the east, that we took a day hike in. Also, Pontassieve is a great little town that has a supermarket and restaurants, bancomats and laundry, so for an extended stay it was perfect.
The best part of the villa are the owners who made us feel welcomed and always answered all of our questions. Paola suggested restaurants, and activities that she thought we would enjoy, but was never intrusive. It is easy to tell from talking to her that she enjoys getting to know people, and that she is proud of her home. The Pucci's have created a little piece of heaven for themselves and their guests, and I would recommend this place to everyone.

An special retreat for artists!
We took a bunch of artists with us to spend a week at Villa Cafaggiolo on Summer 2007, rented the whole Villa and enjoyed every single minute of it! This is a special place with all the amenities you will need, You will feel at home with the Pucci Family, they create an inspiring atmosphere with real Tuscany style. Cozy bedrooms, super-clean bathrooms, big refreshing pool, full equipped kitchens, peace and quiet, magnificent views and the warm and lovely friendship of Paola and Niccolo!
